Working for peanuts!

By the time I woke up on Friday the 11th, Opa had already taken the kids out in the backyard to pick up all the apples that fell from our 2 apple trees. Peter and Rebecca did great (it's always fun the first time around, and then they realize that it's work), Naomi needed some coaxing but she helped and Princess Leah sat on her throne (the hammock) and watched. Once they completed the task each child was paid $1.00 each (except her Royal Highness of course). Ed and I were very eager to take Opa, Tina and the kids to a fruit stand out in Perry. We thought it would be a great and healthy way for the kids to spend their hard earned cash. Of all the yummy, different types of fruit and vegetables, these little ones each chose to load a produce bag full of peanuts! Here they are paying for their treats...


Upon checkout Opa realized what really happened... They worked for peanuts!

(Don't tell the authorities!)

As for Princess Leah, she ended up picking up the apples from our tree in the front yard!
