Two weekends ago we went camping at
Box Elder Campgrounds.
Friday night we arrived and had a yummy camp dinner,
we put the kids to bed after Sarah told scary stories
and played a cold game of hand & foot!
We had such a fun time.
Our tents were pitched within earshot of the running
river and we were awakened by the chirping birds!

We had an enjoyable time with
Jeffrey, Sarah, Eric, Liz and the kids.

Eric & Laura spent some quality time blocking the sun!

Ed & Calista enjoyed the morning campfire.
We were amazed at how cold it got.

Peek-a-boo...
I see you!

There's Calista eating the grass!
Is grass considered a whole grain?

Laura and Naomi picked flowers for mom.

How sweet!

Leah and Mikell
(later joined by the rest of the kids)
had fun crossing the small river, via log!

Saturday after breakfast and clean-up
the kids went fishing.

Scott was a cutie in his party hat!

The Dad's and kids scorched while
waiting for the fish to bite.

Laura- the master fishergirl!

Ed & Naomi try their luck.

Leah screamed "Ahhh, a snake"!
We rush over and see this dead snake
hanging from this sign. And we thought
she might be in danger!

After fishing we let the girls play in the water at Mantua.

Of course, Calista ate the rocky sand.

One of Ed's many funny faces.

Leah helped Calista in the cold water.

Naomi didn't mind!

What a cutie!

Looks like you had a blast! We'll have to try it sometime :)
Amber,
Your story about Leah and the snake reminds me of a time we went camping when we were young and found a dead snake near our campsite. My sister, cousins, and I picked it up with a stick and brought it to show my mom. Let's just say that Mom was NOT amused!
Looks like fun! We need to go camping one of these days.
PS--Is Pete really moving to Houston? Did he take a job offer down there?
