If you did not receive a Christmas card from us this year, do NOT feel left out! I was short about 60! So here is our letter for this year... (Yes, I know it is corny and braggy, but you know I'm an optimist!)
Merry Christmas 2006!
This year for us can be described with only one word… CHANGE!
Moving:
In January we thought about the possibility of moving to a location where we could buy a house. After many prayers and a trip of house hunting, we were successful! We were able to buy a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom house on a ¼ acre lot in Brigham City, Utah. We moved on May 22nd. What a blessing! Brigham City is a town of about 20,000, which is absolutely perfect for us. We are in an awesome, safe and quiet neighborhood, with awesome neighbors. We love having actual seasons!
Church:
We love our ward. The members have shown us so much love, friendship and support at a time when we were all on our own. Ed is serving in the Elder’s Quorom Presidency and Amber is the Scout Leader over the Wolves den. Leah really likes her teachers in Primary and Naomi is in her last few weeks of Nursery.
School:
Leah went to her elementary school for the last week and a half of the last school year. We thought it would be a great way for her to get to know some friends for summer. She is now in the fourth grade and has a wonderful teacher. She is an amazing speller and avid reader. Her math skills have improved dramatically since the first trimester. Naomi is enjoying some “Joy School” time that she attends twice a week. Top that off with Library Story Time and she is good to go.
Family:
This year we said goodbye to our family and friends who were close to us in California, only to say hello to our third daughter, Calista, in July. Calista is a bundle of joy. What a happy baby she is. Leah and Naomi just love their sister. Leah is mom’s helper of course, and thank goodness for her! Naomi is careful when she loves Calista, although she likes to touch Calista’s face with her icy cold fingers sometimes… Calista has rolled over already and is starting to make her presence known with her sweet little voice. Leah turned 9 this year and Naomi will be 4 on January 12th. Ed and Amber are now outnumbered but wouldn’t have it any other way. Ed loves being able to work from his “virtual” office and Amber loves being so close to him.
Testimonies:
2006 has brought many blessings our way. We would like to share with you our knowledge that we have a Father in Heaven who loves and cares for each one of us. We are grateful for his Son, our Savior Jesus Christ and for the infinite atonement. We pray that this season will find you in the best of circumstances as you remember the birth and ministry of Jesus Christ.
